Ketchup
We go through a lot (A LOT) of ketchup. I use it for a couple of things but Ethan has ketchup with almost every single food. Ketchup serves a larger role in Ethan's eating that just a tasty condiment. Strong tastes serve as an indicator to the brain of where the food is in his mouth. It provides constant feedback as there where the food is located as well as where the food should go. Therefore, he automatically requests it with most foods and not just those you would think. His latest request for ketchup came along with his request for waffles. Yum....waffles and ketchup. None of the kids really know about syrup yet but knowing Ethan, he wouldn't like the sweetness anyway.
Field Trips
Both boys had their first ever field trip. Their excitement could hardly be contained when they realized they were going to go on their first school bus ride. Ethan got to spend the vast majority of the day at his field trip while Carter's was only a couple of hours. I volunteered for both field trips as there was no way I was going to miss this first experience!
His first field trip was to a farm/pumpkin patch. The kids learned about how a pumpkin grows, along with different animals.
Excited is an understatement
His first time on a school bus.
This baby lamb was born five days ago. She was so sweet.
Carter's turn! His field trip was also to a pumpkin patch, although it was one that was much closer to the school.
A thrilling school bus ride
I don't think he stopped smiling the entire time. It was nice because I didn't have any other kids in my group so it was more like a mommy-Carter date.
