Happy Easter!

We hope your family had a blessed Easter Sunday celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We were thrilled to get this picture--a self timer family picture.
Our church service was wonderful.  Ethan likes to stay in the sanctuary for the music and then go to his Sunday School room.  Of all people, Ethan's speech therapist sat behind us.  I was happy to sing one of my favorite hymns, Christ the Lord is Risen Today.  (I LOVE hymns--give me hymns over praise music any day!)

Boys and rocks...

This sweet little lady has had a miserable few days.  She is cutting her first two teeth and has bloody/swollen gums.  She did great in the nursery though.

My loves

It was a GORGEOUS day!

Trust me, it was funny.

After lunch, the boys dyed eggs.

I am all about these cups--little clean up and they boys could easily see the colors.

The Easter bunny didn't visit our home until later in the day.

After naps, it was time to hunt for eggs.  (Yes, that does mean the boys changed out of their clothes and then put them back on before hunting for eggs.  Why not?!)

JELLY BEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at those poor eyes.  She has seriously been miserable these past few days.  I feel so badly for her.

Dinner was on the smaller side with an Easter ham and other sides.  These past few days Ethan has been telling us about the "bad guys" who "trapped" Jesus and how the big rock was moved.  He will finish with, "Jesus lives in our hearts," and, "Jesus saves."  Yes, my son, He does.  I love how the simple truth is the perfect truth.

Snow

Thankfully, we have had a few storms that have dumped a good amount of snow on the ground.  We are in such need of the moisture and, of course, who would pass up playing in snow?!
The first big snow.  It was windy and COLD.  So, why wouldn't you ride a scooter during the storm?

See this little guy?  He is a worker.  He couldn't shovel enough snow.

If you look closely, you can see the top of Carter's head.  There was a lot of snow.

This little lady stayed nice and warm with me in the garage.  I mean, every good job needs a manager, right?  I can manage.  ;)

Carter was very upset that I insisted he take a ride on the sled---that meant he had to stop shoveling....

Back at it

Craig built the boys this neat cave.

Construction

A new house is under construction behind our home.  It has provided plenty of entertainment for little boys!

(OK, and big boys as well!)

8 Months

She is growing too fast!  Eight months old already and such a sweet baby.  Don't wipe her face though...it may not end to well for you.  The two things she doesn't like are having her face wiped (unless she is in the tub and then she doesn't mind) and being hungry.  Abigail will be sure to let you know if you have crossed the line in either of these two areas!

Otherwise, she is a happy baby girl who adores her brothers.  She cannot get enough of them!  I don't know if she will ever learn to crawl since they bring her anything she could want or need.  She is starting to get on all fours and rock a little, only to plop back down on her belly.  Normally rolling or pushing herself backwards allows her to get what she needs.

So far she is a fan of most foods and still enjoys squash the most.  A graduate to the baby seat in the tub has allowed her to join the boys during baths.  And, let me tell you, bath time has become very interesting!  :)

I can't get enough of her.  I love her flexible yet structured nature and thoroughly enjoy watching her sleep in my arms.  One of her favorite things it to grab your cheeks and pull herself in for a big, wet kiss on your nose.  Zerberts result in a smile so big it prevents her from making a noise because she is so happy.  (She tries to sequel but just can't get it out!)

Thankfully she continues to find enjoyment in her exersaucer, along with her doorway jumper. Books are great for reading and chewing, even if teeth still aren't around yet. She greets each day with an enormous smile.  She likes to gum on tubing, just like Ethan did.

This smile cracks us up!

Ready to go outside in the snow...we never made it out of the garage because it was way too windy.

I wore this outfit when I was her age.

There is that smile again!

She has a blast taking a bath with the boys.

Carter willingly shares his precious Patches.

Her other smile--enormous!

She was looking up at Maverick.  Abigail loves him.

Mum mums are tasty.  That was one of my bibs as well.

Trying to crawl is serious business.

It wasn't the snow that made her so mad--she was hungry and tired.
